Lack of facilities in the lounge and too much noise made it uncomfortable to stay there

There always was loud music in the lounge, no quiet place to sit and read a book. Besides no possibility to get coffee in the lounge by day. In the room there were no coffee facilities.

Great hotel which could be excellent with a few small tweaks.

Excellent location and surprisingly quiet at night time. The bedding is good quality and the bed was very comfortable. The room is a great size, bathroom and shower are immaculate and a great balcony overlooking the pool and Mount Teide. The room was cleaned every day by very pleasant staff. The rooftop bar and jacuzzi area is fabulous and the views are stunning

The entertainment area is too big making it feel sterile and intimidating rather than inviting and intimate. I am coeliac and options were limited with many dishes not being allergy labelled. The only g/f desserts available are fruit, yogurt and jelly which becomes monotonous. G/f bread and cake was available on request only at breakfast but both were not very pleasant.

Very good, not excellent

Nice location, good size room, good breakfast, nice rooftop bar, nice balconies. Ok gym.

Rooms soundproofing very poor between each others. No coffee in rooms. Showering floods the bathroom. No parking at all (count 5min to find a spot, at about 5min walking distance)

Sunny swimming pool, but average food quality

Great location and a swimming pool with direct sunshine from 09:30 to 17:30 in December/January, something which is hard to find in Puerto de la Cruz. Lots of space around the pool, as the guests tend to be older Northern Europeans. Great choice if you prefer to stay by the pool all day long.

The quality of food ingredients seemed to be poor. The New Year's gala dinner featured a variety of seafood which was tasteless. I did not dare to taste oysters, they did not look fresh at all. Plenty of leftovers from the gala dinner were served during dinner buffet in the following days. Both the meats, fish, and desserts were of rather mediocre quality. Better to eat dinner out in town.

Very enjoyable stay in a nice hotel

The hotel is modern and in a good location, near public transport, beaches, shops, restaurants and a small shopping centre. It has a nice pool area, bar, restaurant and roof top bar worth checking out. Housekeeping cleaned room every day. Much of the area is on high ground as is the hotel. Across the road from the hotel there are 140 steps which take you to the beach, restaurants etc. This may pose a challenge for those less mobile, but taxies are always an option and are not expensive. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. The dining room is large where a lot of seating is always available. There was an excellent variety of food available for breakfast and dinner, a buffet style service. The catering manager and staff are efficient and professional. The staff were excellent and did endeavour to facilitate us in every was possible. We found Javier in reception had a good standard of English and was most helpful when we arrived and had to organise a taxi at short notice when the bus to the airport failed to arrive.

Very pleasant but not as good as usual

We did not want the sea view here we much prefer Teide and the barranca so because we have stayed many times before they very kindly upgraded us and paid 3 euros per night for the safe. The food was not as good as our stay in March but better than most, they are just having major renovations on the side where there used to be unused tennis courts and in the basement which was never used to its full potential, because of the high winds on one day caused a lot of dust which managed to penetrate the rooms because of the way the patio doors are designed we felt extremely concerned for the extra work this must have caused their super cleaners who keep the place spotless El Tope is situated on a hill but has beautiful views but not the best place if you don’t like walking or have problems with your leg joints fortunately at our ages we are still very happy and able to enjoy the several walks down town and over to La Paz so an ideal position for us.

The choices of tea, (no green tea ) the coffee machine was not good either, no cafe on site to purchase a caffe con lech or a small snack or tapa at mid day if not full board. Puerto itself did not feel much like Christmas this year and not as vibrant as usual the traffic fumes and congestion was horrific and they have a major problem with their sea defences and sewage leaking into the sea so the beaches are closed for swimming, as there is a nice pool at the hotel it would not be a problem.

Great hotel in Puerto de la Cruz

The room was perfect, very comfortable, and spacious. We got a corner room which gave us both views of the coast and Teide and a huge terrace. The breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious. The staff was very nice and always willing to help.

The parking spots are very limited. It is practically impossible to get one. We had to park our car in the nearby streets which meant having to go a steep hill in the mornings to find it.

Dinner was excellent view from balcony was top notch.staff were very pleasant and rooms were clean and done every day.overall very good place great location and good value.always sunbeds by the pool.

wifi kept dropping off and lampshades need replacing by the bed.a bit dirty around the rim.other than that was brilliant

We enjoyed the food, the comfy bed and the great view from the balcony. The main downside isn’t related to the property

Location was great - walking distance to stores and the ocean. Breakfast & dinner had plenty of variation between days. Bed was comfortable, especially the pillows. Great view from the balcony.

The shower was outdated - showerhead was a bit broken, there was water spilling outside the shower. It was a small inconvenience though. Parking spaces were limited, but there are available spaces on the streets nearby.

Lovely room .Great view sea and mountains. Fabulous choice of food breakfast and dinner. We were on half-board. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Outside wall .roof top needed painting. Could see it while lying beside pool! Nothing else!

Very Good

Room size bathroom and beds OK. Very nice balcony with sea view, although in north direction hence little sun. Good location in town. Nice quiet poolarea and not crowdy. Breakfast and dinner buffe of OK quality with good variation but same every day.

10 parking lots for a big hotel. At 4 pm they all are occupied and no parking house nearby. The lobby , bar and resturant interior not fancy. got soviet feelings. However did not spend much time there anyway.

We had a great view from our balcony. Breakfast was good. Had energy enough till the late afternoon.

Public places in the hotel were quite boring. Water in the swimming pool could have been warmer.

Comfortable stay.

Good selection of food and different options every day. The location is great . It was a big bonus that the hotel does not have children’s area and it was quiet , please keep it that way.

Relaxing

- nice hotel, nothing extraordinary - beautiful view from the room and a big balcony - nice pool - good food for breakfast and dinner and a lot of variety

- for dinner the drinks were not included (but I understand it’s usual for Tenerife) - the hotel has a private parking but with very few spots which are all occupied at evening. Since I booked this place especially for the parking, it was quite disappointing to spend every night 15min looking for a parking spot and then having to walk 15min back and forth from the car to the hotel… - the design of the hotel was quite old, but in good condition - the cleaning was not that thorough - quite far from the beach and up a hill - it was not a problem for us, we enjoyed the walk, but maybe for some other people it’s important
